Gluten free baking in Quesnel
Exciting to see a bill board promoting Gluten Free Products outside the local Green Tree Health and Wellness store on Reid Street. I snagged my sugar high “Kinnikinnick” Maple Glazed Donuts and Tapioca Rice Cinnamon Buns! My grandsons loved me . . .
Thanks Marilyn! It is amazing to have someone in retail that listens and cares!

Ener-G Wheat Free Crackers – These had a good taste! A cross between a soda cracker and a graham cracker. They held up well in soup and passed the Preschool Snack Test. (aka they got eaten by a 5 year old with cheese and meat slices!) more
Book Available May 2010!!! GOT IT!
Among the items sent to me by my amazing sister, Strawberry, was this early release copy of Wendy Turnbull’s new book ” Gems of Gluten-Free Baking”. It is to be hitting the shelves later this month through Amazon.
At first glance: The pages are glossy and easy to read. One recipe per page which helps my easily-distracted brain. There are not as many pictures as I like… but then I do love my picture books! Then… what did my sceptical eyes should perceive? DONUTS! ooooo… deep fried.. glorious donut recipes! And pies… and all those sweets…
The book has inspired me when my inspiration has ebbed… I will be doing some baking here and testing it out!
